FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team being the fall portion of their 2019-20 season in dominant fashion Thursday afternoon as they defeated the University of Saint Francis, 7-0, at Swinney Tennis Center.
The Warriors swept through doubles play to pick up the point (NAIA changed to follow NCAA Division I and II scoring rules) and dropped just two games across the three matches, with the second flight of
Brunno Storani and
Jafer Infante picking up the shutout.
Tech's dominance continued into singles action as four of the six players from the Orange and Black dropped two or fewer games to complete the win.
Alvaro Garrido picked up a double bagel at fifth flight,
Juan Avellaneda won 6-0, 6-1 at third flight,
Raybin Chan won 6-2, 6-0 at fourth flight and
Andres Leal won 6-1, 6-1 at the number six spot.
Tech (1-0) returns to action on Thursday, September 5 as they host Grace College. First serve is set for 1 p.m. from Swinney Tennis Center.
