FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team defeated Aquinas College, 86-71, Saturday afternoon on Senior Day inside the Schaefer Center in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action and extended its winning streak to five games.
Max Huber had a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds while
Mitch Morken had 17 points and eight rebounds.
Lucas Lehrman added 16 points and seven rebounds while
Dilyn Good had 15 points.
Cory McKinney chipped in 14 points and five rebounds.
In a high-scoring first half the Warriors exploded for 47 points, the second-most points for the team in a single half this season and the 12
th time they've scored over 40 points in 20 minutes of play. Tech built its lead up to 24 points in the second half and held off a late charge from the Saints to head into the postseason on a winning note after capturing their second-ever WHAC Championship Wednesday.
Tech (20-10, 16-4 WHAC) has the number one seed in the 2020 WHAC Tournament that begins this week as they welcome in eighth-seeded University of Northwestern Ohio Wednesday evening. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. from the Schaefer Center.
