Warriors Take Down Saints for 15th Straight Win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 11-ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team defeated Aquinas College, 67-49, Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action to extend their winning streak to 15 games as they closed out the regular season inside the Schaefer Center.

Emma Wolfe and Kyra Whitaker each scored 18 points while Erika Foy had 14 off the bench.

After a back-and-forth first quarter which saw the Saints leading 16-15 at the break, Tech went on a 23-14 run in the second quarter to lead 38-30 after 20 minutes of play. A defensive struggle engulfed the third quarter as the Warriors limited the Saints to just six points, but managed to put up just 11 points themselves. Tech powered through the fourth quarter with 18 points to eventually push their lead up to 20 as they completed the regular season with another double-digit victory.

Tech (26-4, 19-1 WHAC) now turns its attention to the 2020 WHAC Tournament where they will be the number one seed for the third straight season. The Warriors will host eighth-seeded Lourdes University in a quarterfinal contest on Thursday, February 27 at 7 p.m. from the Schaefer Center.
