INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team fell to NCAA Division I foe Butler University, 4-1, Sunday evening inside the Butler Bubble.
The Warriors started off the match strong as they took the doubles point thanks to wins from
Tiago Neves and
Brunno Storani (7-6) and
Raybin Chan and
Jafer Infante (6-1) and second and third flight, respectively.
The Bulldogs came storming back in singles play though, taking points at the first, second, third and fourth position to seal the victory. Storani nearly pulled off another upset at two singles but ultimately fell 7-6 (3), 6-3.
Tech (6-3) returns to action on Saturday, February 15 as they take on No. 15-ranked Cumberland University in a neutral site matchup in Lima, Ohio. First serve is set for 1 p.m. from the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
