FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The No. 9-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team handled their business against the Concordia Cardinals on Wednesday night at Warrior Athletic Field, defeating them by a final score of 6-0.
It took awhile for Tech to get going, but once they did, the floodgates seemed to open.
Lucca Motta opened up the scoring with a strike in the 44th minute to take a 1-0 lead going into the intermission.
Junior
Jaxon Simerman cleaned up a mess around the net and scored in his second straight game to begin the flurry of goals the Warriors would score in the second half.
Maxwell Amoako would go on an absolute tear from the 68th minute to the 71st, scoring three goals in that time span off of assists from
Luke Jones and
Pep Casas.
Casas would get one for himself off of a corner kick in the 75th minute before the benches would empty for both teams.
Senior goalkeeper,
Christian Calderon, would earn his first start and pick up his first career victory, making three saves in the contest.
The Warriors (13-1-1, 7-0-1 WHAC) will look to keep rolling as they will host Rochester (5-8-1, 2-5-1 WHAC) this Saturday at noon for Senior Day.
