FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 9-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team won its seventh straight game Saturday afternoon was they defeated Siena Heights University 6-0 at Warrior Athletic Field and notching the team's seventh shutout of the season.
Brendan Sidaway got the scoring started early with a goal in the sixth minute with the assist coming from
Jack Koshko, making his first career start for Tech opposite his brother Joel, a defender for the Saints.
Maxwell Amoako made it 2-0 in the 17
th minute, but the rest of the Warrior scoring came after halftime despite the hosts outshooting Siena Heights 13-1 in the opening 45 minutes of the game.
Antonio Marra and
Markos Fameliaris scored just three minutes apart to make it a 4-0 game while
Jaime Rodriguez converted a penalty kick in the 67
th minute and Sidaway notched his second goal of the game in the 71
st minute.
Kosko had two assists in the game while
Jaume Salvado made two saves to pick up the win.
Tech (11-1-0, 5-0-0 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday as they travel to the University of Northwestern Ohio. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. from Racer Stadium.
