Warriors Begin Season 7-0 With Win At Concordia

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The No. 14-ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team continues to stay hot, defeating Concordia for their seventh consecutive win to begin the 2021-22 season.

Emma Tuominen had a game-high 23 points on 8-16 shooting, adding nine rebounds as well. Kyra Whitaker rung in 17 points and a team-high two triples. Taya Andrews scored 11 points to go along with five boards. Erika Foy chipped in 10 points and three rebounds.

Kyra Whitaker started the scoring off with a layup that sparked a 10-2 start, and the Warriors didn't look back. Tech would increase their lead to 26-12 before the Cardinals would come back and make it a six point game at the half and they'd cut it down to as low as three before the Warriors turned up the energy, as Foy would score four points in helping the Warriors increase the lead back to nine going into the final quarter. Tech was then off to the races, as Tuominen and Andrews would score seven points apiece in the fourth, helping pace the Warriors to a 23-point period, with the final score being 70-53.

Tech (7-0, 2-0) returns to action on Wednesday as they take on Lourdes (3-3, 0-1) at the Schaefer Center at 6:00 PM.
