FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech Warriors men's basketball team captured their fifth consecutive victory, this time the victims were the Wolverines of UM-Dearborn.
Ted Albert's crew weren't messing around tonight, they brought the energy from the jump, kicking things off with a 17-0 lead, holding the Wolverines scoreless for nearly five opening minutes.Â
Tech shot 52.8% from the floor in the first half, scoring 59 points, their highest total in a half this season, and held UM-Dearborn to a measly 27.3% shooting and 26 total points. The Warriors wouldn't look back one bit.
Senior
Grant Smith had a spectacular night, netting a career-high 30 points on 12-21 shooting to go along with five rebounds and five assists.
Josh Kline scored 14 points on an efficient 4-6 shooting.
Max Perez had a solid night, scoring 11 points and grabbing six boards. Indiana Tech's bench played very well with their opportunity tonight, contributing 44 points to UM-Dearborn's 16. Tech also dominated inside, out-scoring the Wolverines 50-16.
Indiana Tech (8-4, 4-2 WHAC) will look to keep their winning streak alive this Saturday as they host the UNOH Racers (3-7, 2-3 WHAC). Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM at the Schaefer Center.
