FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech men's basketball team bounced back from their weekday loss to Huntington with a defeat of WHAC foe, Lawrence Tech, by a final score of 70-54.
Rog Stein had an excellent night. The senior from Kalamazoo, Michigan hung 19 points on the Blue Devils, grabbing 13 boards, dishing four assists, collecting three steals, and knocking in a shot from downtown. Saturday night's effort makes for Stein's third double-double on the season, the ninth of his Indiana Tech career.Â
Grant Smith also had a great outing, he nearly had a double-double himself, scoring 15 points grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing four assists.
Steve Helm didn't have it going from three like usual, but found ways to score, notching 12 points to go along with five rebounds.
Cory McKinney played all but one minute in the contest, scoring eight points and holding the Blue Devils in check, defensively.
The Warriors will be back in action next Monday, as they take on University Rio Grande Red Storm (5-5, 3-2 RSC). Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM at the Schaefer Center.
