Warriors Stay Unbeaten in WHAC Play with Win Over LTU

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech women's basketball team is back to their winning ways, earning their fourth straight blowout victory on Saturday, with a 72-47 defeat of Lawrence Tech.

Emma Tuominen notched her sixth double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 boards, leading the Warriors in both categories. Taya Andrews was a stat-sheet-stuffer, as she had 15 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished six assists to go along with one block and one steal. Erika Foy chipped in eleven points and seven rebounds, swatting away three Blue Devil shots as well. Despite not being her usual self from behind the arc, Kyra Whitaker contributed eight points, two assists, and one steal.

Tech once again showed their stuff inside the painted area, scoring off of guards getting inside and creating for themselves and the bigs. The Warriors out-scored Lawrence Tech, 34-18, in the "points in the paint" category.

Indiana Tech improves to 13-1 on the year and 7-0 in conference play. They will head down to West Palm Beach, Florida as part of the West Palm Beach Invite to take on Keiser and St. Thomas on December 18th and 19th.
