FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech Athletics Department is excited to announce the hiring of
Alexander Kluchki as the Head Cross Country and Assistant Track and Field Coach as announced by Director of Athletics
Jessie Biggs.
"We are ecstatic about the addition of Coach Kluchki," said
Biggs. "His approach for bettering his student athletes as people not just as runners is exactly what we were looking for in this position. We expect him to hit the ground running!"
Prior to Indiana Tech,
Kluchki has been coaching at NAIA competitor University of the Cumberlands as the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track and Field Coach since 2016. While there he has coached a National Champion, 14 All-Americans between cross country and indoor track and field, 40 National Qualifiers and 50 All-Conference Honorees.
Kluchki's other coaching experience consists of one year at Tennessee Wesleyan as the Interim Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach.
"I would like to thank athletic director
Jessie Biggs, associate athletic director
David Bokhart, coach
Doug Edgar, and the entire selection committee in entrusting me to lead the men's and women's cross country program. I am honored to join the Warrior Athletic Department family," said
Kluchki.
"It is my expectation to continue to have the cross country programs competing for conference titles within the WHAC and being competitive at the national level while also mentoring and preparing them for success life beyond Indiana Tech when they graduate. I am excited to assist Doug and his staff on the track in continuing to bring home conference and national championship. This is an incredible opportunity that I look forward to starting this semester."
Kluchki earned a Master's Degree in Health and Human Performance while at the University of the Cumberlands and graduated from Lewis University in May 2014 with a Bachelor's in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology.
