GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's volleyball swept Cornerstone in their conference match up earlier tonight where the Warriors dominated from the jump.

Tech took an early 5-2 lead and advanced it to 16-6 after a 6-0 run forcing Cornerstone to take a timeout in the middle. The Golden Eagles were only able to score one point before Tech took back the serve to lead 18-7. Four points straight for the Warriors gave them a 24-10 lead before winning the first set 25-11.

The Warriors scored the first two points of the second set before a 10-0 stretch with a Cornerstone timeout in the middle. The timeout couldn't stop Tech's momentum and they led 12-1. The Golden Eagles attempted a rally with three points scored only for the Warriors to answer with an 8-0 run to lead 22-5. Tech won the second set 25-7 to lead 2-0 in the match.

Cornerstone scored the first point of the third set before the Warriors had two back-to-back three points runs to lead 6-2. The Golden Eagles found some momentum later in the set and scored three-straight to tie the set at 10-10. The Warriors held onto their lead with a kill by Jon Fonda to lead 11-10 before Cornerstone answered with three of their own points to take a 13-11 lead. Tech tied the set at 20 but was unable to gain control. The Golden Eagles advanced their lead to 23-21 and later 24-22 before the Warriors scored two in a row to tie the set 24-24.
