FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Men's tennis picks up a 4-0 win over IU-East earlier today to kick off the 2021 spring season.

Alvaro Gomez and Agustin Cortes won in the number one spot of doubles 6-1 to start the day for the Warriors. Brunno Storani and Juan Avellaneda represented the Warriors in the number two spot and fell 7-6 with a 7-4 tie breaker. Alvaro Garrido and Jafer Infante rallied for the Warriors in the number three position and won 6-2 to end the doubles matches.

Storani competed at the number one spot in singles and won 6-0 and 6-3. Avellaneda took the number two match with 6-3 and 6-4 wins while Agustin Cortes lost the first set at number three but won the second 6-1 only for the match to remain unfinished. Emilio Bowen represented Tech at the number four and won 6-3 and 6-2 for his first collegiate win. Kayra Kargin competed at number five and Raybin Chan competed at number six but neither match was finished.

Tech is back in action tomorrow, Saturday February 20^th at 12 p.m. when they host No. 20 Grace.
