A 14-5 run from the Warriors started off the second quarter as they lead ballooned to 38-20 with 5:14 remaining in the opening half, with Hill and Whitaker combining for 12 of the 14 points from the team. The hot shooting from the visitors continued into the fourth quarter as they went 10-13 from the floor and knocked down all three of their attempts from behind the arc while they limited the hosts to just a 4-13 mark from the floor, but the Warriors made it up at the charity stripe as they went 9-13 from the free throw line, including a 7-11 showing in the final 38 seconds on the game. The Saints cut the deficit down to 63-61 with 3:23 following a 10-5 run to start the quarter, but Tech answered back with a pair of old-fashioned three-point plays from Worm and Foy on back-to-back possessions to put the lead back up to six points. Siena Heights made a furious attempt at the upset as they cut the deficit down to three with 11 seconds and then two with just over a second left, but Hill sank a pair of free throws to ice the game and keep the winning streaks alive.
Tech (16-1, 4-0 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday as they travel to the University of Northwestern Ohio for another conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from Racer Gymnasium.
