Warriors Continue Winning Ways with Shutout of Madonna

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 12-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team extended its winning streak to 11 games Wednesday afternoon as they recorded their eighth shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Madonna University at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How It Happened
  • Noe Garcia continued his torrid scoring pace with his 13th goal of the year, and seventh over the last three games, in the 19th minute as he converted a penalty kick to make it a 1-0 game.
  • The tight play continued into the second half, with the Warriors holding the Crusaders to just one shot in the first 45 minutes, and no corner kicks throughout the match, while Lucca Motta earned his first career goal in the 80th minute as he slotted the pass from Luke Jones into the bottom left hand corner of the net to make it a 2-0 game.

  • Jaume Salvado made four saves to notch his fourth shutout of the season.
 
Tech (11-0-0, 7-0-0 WHAC) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Lourdes University. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. from Wildcat Stadium.
