SYLVANIA, Ohio – The No. 9-ranked Indiana Tech men's volleyball team fell to No. 10-ranked and conference foe Lourdes University 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) Tuesday evening inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
How It Happened
- Tech jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the match and followed that up with another 3-0 spurt following a 4-0 run from the Gray Wolves. The two teams traded points until 4-1 run from Lourdes put them ahead 18-14. The hosts never lost the lead again and took the opening set in the battle for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) title.
- Lourdes got out to a 7-2 lead in the second and never looked back. Tech cut the deficit down to 13-11, but the Gray Wolves answered with a 4-1 run to pus the lead to 17-12. Tech would only muster three more points the rest of the set as they went down 2-0 for just the third time this season.
- The Warriors fell behind 6-2 to start the third, but rattled off a 6-1 spurt to take an 8-7 lead. Tech continued to hold the advantage until 5-1 run from Lourdes gave the hosts a 15-15 lead. The two teams traded the next 12 points, but with the set tied up at 21-21, Lourdes went on a 4-1 run to complete the sweep.

Tech (14-4, 9-2 WHAC) concludes the regular season Thursday as they host Siena Heights University. First serve is set for 7 p.m. from the Schaefer Center.
