FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Men's tennis clinches the 6-1 victory over Olivet Nazarene with a sweep of the doubles matches to move to a 4-1 record.
Brunno Storani had a hard-fought singles match where he won the first set 7-6, but then fell in the following two to drop his match at the number one spot.
Juan Avellaneda competed at the number two position and won his match with two 6-1 set victories while
Emilio Bowen won his match at the number three with 6-0 and 6-2 wins.
Kayra Kargin played at the number four and won 6-0 and 6-2 while
Raybin Chan competed at the number five and won 6-1 and 6-4.
Jafer Infante closed out the singles matches for the Warriors at number six with 6-0 and 6-1 wins.
Alvaro Gomez and
Agustin Cortes partnered up for the number one doubles spot, but their match went unfinished.
Storani and
Avellaneda combined at the number two doubles position and won 6-0 while
Infante and
Chan competed at the number three and also won 6-0 to earn the Warriors the 6-1 match victory.
Tech is back on the court Monday, March 15
th when they host Mount Vernon Nazarene at 12 p.m.
