FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team defeated Madonna University 15-10 Wednesday afternoon in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How it Happened

• The two teams traded goals over the first 15 minutes of the game before Abby Barkdull scored with 12:20 to go in the first half as the Warriors were down a woman to make it a 3-2 game.
• The Crusaders knotted the game back up but a 3-1 run from the Warriors, including a woman-advantage goal by Abbey Wilson with 30 seconds left, put the hosts up 6-4 at the half.
• A 4-0 run from Tech in a five-minute stretch put the visitors on the heels as the hosts pushed their lead to 11-6 with 14:39 to play.
• The Crusaders made a late push to get back in the game, but Tech never let the lead get under four goals while Cece Mason made two big saves in the final 2:19 to ice the game for Tech.

 
Inside the Box Score

• Barkdull continued her torrid scoring streak with five goals and two assists while Wilson had four goals to go along with six draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
• Mason made 10 saves in the cage to pick up the win while Madi Jarvis had six ground balls.

 
Tech (3-2, 2-1 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday, April 7 as they travel to Bethel University for a WHAC contest. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. from Morey Field.
