FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Women's tennis remains undefeated in conference play after defeating UNOH 6-1 on Friday.
Isidora Hrnjak and
Martina Borges kicked off the doubles matches at the number one spot with a 6-3 win.
Vero Jimenez and
Marianna Murcia held their opponents scoreless at the number two and won 6-0 while
Carolina Fabbri and
Thaina Carvalho teamed up at the number three to win 6-3.
In singles,
Jimenez won her first set at number one easy, 6-2, and battled in the second set to win 7-5 and take the match.
Hrnjak was not as fortunate at the number two and fell 6-2 and 6-4 before
Murcia competed at the number three and won 6-2 and 6-1.
Borges won at the number four in a hard fought, three-set match where she fell in the first set and battled back to win the next two 6-1 and 7-5.
Ana Gomez competed at the number five for Tech and won her match 6-1 and 6-0 before
Carvalho won her match at number six 6-2 and 6-1 to solidify the victory for the Warriors.
Tech is back in action tomorrow, April 12
