FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team defeated DePauw University 11-9 Saturday evening at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How It Happened

• The Tigers controlled the action in early in the contest that was originally supposed to be played in the middle of February, and Mother Nature made sure to make everyone in attendance feel uncomfortable as heavy rain fell all evening and the visitors led 3-0 with 2:47 left in the first quarter.
• The Warriors finally found got some offensive momentum in the second quarter with three goals over an eight-minute span to knot the contest up at 4-4, but a goal from DePauw with 65 seconds left in the half game them a 5-4 lead at the break.
• Tech fired back with four goals in the third quarter while holding the Tigers off the scoreboard to take an 8-5 lead into the final 15 minutes of play, but the visitors would not let up as they scored four times in the fourth, including twice in the final 3:16 of the game, but the Warriors never let the deficit get under three as they extended their winning streak to seven games.

 
Tech (12-1) returns to action Wednesday as they travel to the University of Michigan-Dearborn for a conference battle. Opening face-off is set for 8 p.m. from the Detroit County Day Fieldhouse.
