FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 10-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team defeated No. 16-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio 3-0 Saturday afternoon in the finals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament at Warrior Athletic Field to complete the sweep of the conference titles for the second straight season.
How It Happened
- The two teams were locked up for the first 40 minutes of the game until Jose Uvidia found Luke Jones in the 41st minute to put the Warriors up 1-0 at the half.
- Jaxon Simerman made it a 2-0 game in the 76th minute as he headed into the pass from Jonas Kahlmann into the back of the net.
- Tech made it a 3-0 game with just three minutes remaining in the match as Noe Garcia recorded his team-leading 18th goal following a steal on a Racer defender and slipping the ball past the UNOH goal keeper.
