ADRIAN, Mich. – Baseball sweeps Siena Heights on the road Monday to advance to 13-5 in conference play.

Siena Heights started strong scoring the first run of the game in their first at bat at the bottom of the first. The Warriors responded in their next at bat beginning with Christian De Los Santos hitting a single to left field. He then advanced to second on a wild pitch to put himself into scoring position with one out. After the second out, Jake Ritson stepped up to the plate and hit a single through the left side that scored De Los Santos from second and tied the game 1-1.

In the top of the third, the Warriors struck again when Reese Olden was hit by a pitch as the first batter of the inning. Jacob Alvidrez then had a sacrifice bunt to move Olden to second before the Saints recorded the second out of the inning. With two outs, Yeshua Saint singled up the middle of the field to score Olden and give Tech their first lead of the day 2-1.

Both teams amped up the defense with no more runs being scored until the ninth inning. In the top of the inning, Olden singled through the right side and then advanced to second and third on two passed balls. A sacrifice fly from Alvidrez scored Olden for the Warriors to win the first game 3-1.
