FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Women's tennis shuts out Aquinas in WHAC Conference Tournament semifinals to advance to the finals on Friday.

Tech started the day with Marianna Murcia and Vero Jimenez defeating their opponents at the number two doubles position 6-1 before Abigail Simms and Ana Gomez teamed up at the number three position to win 6-1 and earn the Warriors the win in the doubles portion of the match. The number one singles match did not finish once Tech won two of the three doubles matches.

In singles, Murcia won 6-2 and 6-1 in the number three spot while Martina Borges won at the number four won 6-2 and 6-0. The Warriors needed one more match to clinch the win and Thaina Carvalho came in with the 6-2 and 6-1 win at the number six to send the Warriors to the WHAC Finals on Friday.

The Warriors will compete against UNOH at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 30^th back at the Wildwood Racquet Club.
