Warriors Repeat as WHAC Champions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 11-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer repeated as Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Champions Tuesday evening as they defeated the University of Michigan-Dearborn 2-0 at Warrior Athletic Field to complete an unbeaten conference schedule.
 
How it Happened
  • The Warriors, coming off their first loss of the season Saturday, had control of the game early against the Wolverines, playing just their sixth game of the season. Jonas Kahlmann put Tech on the board in the 34th minute with a header goal after taking the pass from Ryan Steele.
  • Noe Garcia made it a 2-0 game in the 54th minute as Kahlmann found the reigning WHAC Player of the Year for his 15th goal of the season.

  • The Warriors recorded their 11th shutout of the season while Jaume Salvado notched his sixth clean sheet.
 
Tech (14-1-1, 10-0-1 WHAC) returns to action Saturday as they kick off the WHAC Tournament as the number one seed. Kickoff against a to-be-determined opponent is set for 3 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
