FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Men's tennis earns a hard-fought battle against Marian earlier where Tech came out victorious 5-2.
Tech opened the match with doubles where
Brunno Storani and
Juan Avellaneda won at the number one position 6-1 followed by
Alvaro Gomez and
Agustin Cortes Flores winning at the number two 6-1.
Jafer Infante and
Raybin Chan competed at the number three and completed the sweep of the doubles matches with a 6-2 victory.
In singles, Marian stole the number one and number two matches while
Kayra Kargin earned the first singles win of the day 6-1 and 7-5 at the number three.
Emilio Bowen competed at the number four and dropped the first set but made a comeback in the next two to win his match.
Cortes played at the number five and won in three sets taking the first 6-3 and the third 6-2 while
Raybin Chan won at the number six 6-1 and 6-2 to seal the victory for the Warriors.
Tech is back on the court Friday, April 9
th against UNOH for a conference match at 12 p.m.
