DEARBORN, Mich. - The Indiana Tech women's soccer team got back on the winning track by defeating UM-Dearborn on Saturday night by a final score of 3-1.
The Wolverines opened up the game by scoring a goal in just the second minute of action, but the Warriors would respond in the 21st minute when
Lily Rothert tied the game up with her third goal of the season to go into halftime tied 1-1.
It was the graduate-student, Bailey Elliot, who would prove to be the second half hero for the Warriors. She scored two second half goals, one in the 46th minute off of an assist by
Danielle Dunn, and the other in the 86th minute to put the game away.
Karminna Gaytan made four saves on the day.
Tech (5-3-0) will return to action on Wednesday where they will travel to Sylvania, Ohio to take on Lourdes (4-1-3) in more WHAC action. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
