ADRIAN, Mich. - The Indiana Tech men's basketball team took care of business on the road with a defeat of Siena Heights, by a final score of 71-56 on Wednesday night at the SHU Fieldhouse.
Grant Smith was a stat-sheet-stuffer, scoring a team-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Josh Kline put in work as well, scoring 11 points, grabbing seven boards, and swatting away three Saint shot-attempts.
Steve Helm was able to knock down two triples, as well as grabbing six boards and picking off the Saints twice. Jeremy Lucianai had an extremely efficient night, in just nine minutes of action he scored seven points, incluidng one triple, and grabbed three boards.Â
The keys to this contest were points off turnovers, bench points, and points in the paint. The Warrior defense forced 17 Saint turnovers, turning that into 24 points. The Tech bench once again saw solid contribution, out-scoring the Saints 20-13 in that category, with Luciani, Jeremy Davidson,
Lucas Lehrman, and
Cory McKinney putting in solid minutes off the pine. Once again, Tech showed their strength inside, out-scoring Siena Heights 30-22 in the paint.
Indiana Tech (14-6, 8-2 WHAC) will look ahead to Saturday as they host the Concordia Cardinals (7-9, 2-7 WHAC). Tip-off will be at the Schaefer Center at 3:00 PM.
