FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The men's hockey team took on WHAC opponent Aquinas College in a weekend series starting Friday night. Tech hosted the first contest on their home ice at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse before traveling to Grand Rapids for the second game of the series. The Warriors won both meetings with a final score of 8-3.
 
The first of the two games between the Saints and Warriors was Friday night, where the Warriors outshot the Saints 61-35. Scoring for the Orange and Black was Alex Arnold (2), Avery Smith (2), Malik Ali, Cole Barney, Cam Chabot, and TJ Dougan. The warriors that recorded assists in game one were Alex Potter (2), Colton Nikiforuk, Avery Smith, Wil Campbell, Cam Chabot (2), Matej Krasny, and Cole Barney. Braedyn Funke got the nod in net, playing all 60 minutes allowing 3 goals while saving 32.
 
Tech was on the road for the second game of the series Saturday night. The Warriors fired 58 shots in game two, while the Saints recorded 32. Seven Warriors recorded goals for Tech, and they were Axel Low (2), Alex Potter, Luke Anderson, Cam Chabot, Avery Smith, TJ Dougan, and Connor Funke. Providing assists for Tech were Cam Chabot (2), Cole Barney (2), Fabian Granqvist, Alex Arnold, and Luke Anderson. Riley Tucker went all 60 minutes between the pipes, saving 29 of the Saints' 32 shots.
 
The Warriors host Lawrence Tech Friday night, October 28, for their next game, starting at 7:30 PM. Tech is 16-3-1 against the Blue Devils, winning their most recent matchup 4-2.
