FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The women's soccer team hosted the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines on Saturday. Before the game, Tech honored their eight seniors, as it was the Warriors' last home game of the season. The Wolverines walked out of the Warrior Athletic Field with a 1-0 victory over Tech to spoil the senior day. The result moves the Warriors to 4-8-3 on the season with a 2-5-2 record in WHAC competitions.
The Warriors honored their seniors by starting all eight in the contest. Tech created the game's first chance when a shot from
Kate Wallace went just over the bar. The Wolverines opened the game's scoring when Gabriella Teems found the net in the 20
th minute. The Warriors outshot UM-Dearborn 11-8, with shots on target 6-5. Corner Kicks were 5-0 in favor of the Wolverines.
Michaela Bitle recorded four saves for the Warriors in her ninety minutes in the net.
The Warriors travel to Livonia, Michigan, for their next contest, a matchup with the Crusaders of Madonna University. Tech looks to snap a four-game losing streak this week with the latest result of a 6-1 loss in that streak.
