Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to take on Aquinas College in their final game of the regular season. A second-half goal for Tech gave them a 1-0 lead that the Saints couldn't find an answer to. The win moves the Warriors to 10-2-5 for the season and 8-1-2 in WHAC play.
The first half was scoreless, with both teams recording five shots. The scoring was opened by Douglas Appiah, who found the net off a rebound from his first shot that the Saints' keeper saved. The goal was one of eight shots the Warriors recorded in the second half bringing their game total to 13; Aquinas recorded 8 in the game.
Jaume Salvado did what was required of him in the net today, saving both shots he faced and earning another shutout on the season.
Today's game wraps up the regular season for the Warriors with the WHAC tournament starting on November 5
th.
