GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team took on the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament final Saturday in Grand Rapids. After winning sets one and two with scores of 25-22 and 27-25, the Golden Eagles won the next two to take it to set 5, where Tech fell to Cornerstone 18-16.
Taylor Paul led tech's attack with 12 kills,
Taylor Sorg with 11, and
Noelle VanOort had 10.
Andrea Schriver led the Warriors in services aces with 2, as well as leading in assists, recording 29. Kelsey Shaldenbrand recorded 16 assists for the Warriors.
Jacey Blust led the team in digs with 25, followed closely by VanOort with 23.
Havilyn Cummings led Tech with 6.0 blocks, while Sorg and Paul both recorded 3.0
Finishing Runner-Up in the WHAC tournament gives the Warriors a bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The Selection Show takes place Monday, November 14, at 11:00 am EST.
