FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 17 ranked Indiana Tech men's basketball team traveled to the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Wednesday night to face the cross-town rivals. After trailing by 14 at the half, Tech fought back but could not overcome the deficit falling to the Cougars 78-74. With the loss, the Warriors move to a 5-1 start to the season.
Tech was led by
Rog Stein, who scored 14 points, shooting 50% from the field while grabbing 9 rebounds and finding teammates for 8 assists.
Cory McKinney scored 13 for the Warriors shooting 2-4 from the three-point line while adding 7 points from the charity stripe on 10 attempts. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.
Josh Kline and
Steve Helm scored 10 points apiece while grabbing 6 and 3 rebounds, respectively.
Blake Davison and
Grant Smith scored 8 points and grabbed 3 rebounds apiece for Tech. The Warriors shot the ball at a 44.8% mark from the floor.
Tech retakes the court on Saturday, November 19, when they travel to Southfield, Michigan, for a matchup with Lawrence Tech. The tip-off is set for 3:00 PM. The Warriors have won 13 straight against the Blue Devils, winning their last matchup with a 79-73 margin.
