CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The No. 5 ranked Indiana Tech men's wrestling team traveled to Crestview Hills, Kentucky, on Thursday to compete in the Thomas More University Tri-Dual with the Saints and the University of Pikeville Bears. The Warriors won both duals with scores of 52-3 and 31-16 over Pikeville and Thomas More, respectively.

The Warriors topped Pikeville with a score of 52-3. Tech won seven matches via forfeit, while
Nick Gates won his match with a 9-0 Major Decision over Christopher Stiltner. Pikeville grabbed their three points in the 165-weight class with a 3-1 Decision.
Cameron Mayes-Butler finished things for the Warriors with a win by Fall in 2:10 over the Bears, Gavin Hunt.

Thomas More jumped to an early lead after picking up three points in the 125-lb match, but Tech got six points back via forfeit in the 133-weight class.
Kyle Kantola earned another six points for Tech with a win via Fall in 1:55.
Nate Wheeler,
Trevor Stuyvenberg,
Eric Vermillion, and
Jacob Brandt all won their matches for the Warriors. Wheeler won his match with a 16-0 TF, Stuyvenberg and Vermillion won with 12-2 and 11-3 MD, and Brandt won with a Fall in 2:56 to give Tech the 31-16 victory.
The Warriors break for the holidays but will return to action on January 6
th and 7
th in Louisville, Kentucky, for the NWCA National Duals.
