FORT WAYNE – The No. 2- ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team won its sixth straight game on Wednesday night under the lights, as they defeated Aquinas, 11-7 at Warrior Athletic Field.
Andrew Ryan and
Nate Langille tied for the game-high, with three goals each. Langille also dished out three assists and two ground balls while Ryan had two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Josh Bramley added two goals to go along with one ground ball and one assist while
Emmett Coleman had two goals and
Louis Czech had one. In the cage was
Kyle TwoBulls, who made 15 saves on the night.
Langille got things started for the Warriors, scoring their first goal at the 12:46 mark before Ryan would add one more in the quarter at 5:25. The Saints finally answered with a goal of their own at the horn to end quarter one. Things were pretty even in quarter two with each team scoring two goals. Tech saw their two goals first coming at the 11:17 and 8:31 mark, coming from Coleman and Bramley. The visitors scored their two goals in the final 3:45 of the quarter with one coming in the last 25 seconds to cut lead down to one, 4-3.
After the break, the Warriors outscored their visitors 4-1 in the third, with goals coming from Langille, Coleman, and Ryan. Aquinas started things off hot in the final quarter by scoring the first two goals. Bramley answered with a goal at the 10:29 mark to put his team back up 9-6. The guests scored another not long after before Tech answered back with two straight goals by Czech and Ryan. The Orange and Black would go on to win 11-7.
The Warriors are back in action Saturday at 1 pm as they travel to Sylvania, Ohio to take on (RV) Lourdes University.
