FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech softball team dropped two contests against the No. 20-ranked Madonna Crusaders on Wednesday evening at Warrior Park. The Warriors fell to the Crusaders by the same score in both games, 1-2.

Marie Trouba immediately started things off hot for the Orange and Black, smacking a double to left center off one of the best pitchers in the country. She then proceeded to steal third, and went home off of a sacrifice fly from
Meagan Barton.
Olyvia Notter would earn two hits, one being a double, but the Warriors wouldn't be able to score another run afterward. Despite a very solid outing from
Ashley Alvey, who pitched a complete game, striking out four batters, the Warriors would drop the contest, 1-2.

The Crusaders scored runs in the first and second.
Olyvia Notter again hit a double, scoring on a Madonna error later in the fourth inning, but that would be the only run scored by Tech. Trouba,
Meghan Berlin,
Alyssa Fox, and
Amanda Parker all recorded hits.
Hannah Middlebrooks pitched a complete game, striking out three Crusaders in the loss.
Indiana Tech (5-16, 0-2 WHAC) will look ahead to the weekend, as they'll travel to Rochester on Saturday and then will have a home double-header with Concordia on Sunday. First pitch for the latter contest will be at 12 PM at Warrior Park.
