FORT WAYNE, Ind. – After winning the quarterfinal matchup against Concordia on Wednesday, the Indiana Tech women's volleyball team hosts the remainder of the WHAC women's volleyball tournament and continued their run on Friday by hosting the fourth seed, Madonna University, in the Schaefer Center. The Warriors looked to get off to a better start than Wednesday, as they try to capture the WHAC Tournament title and did just that as they rolled past the Crusaders 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-19) enroute to the tournament final.
 
Madonna Opened the first set with back-to-back service aces to take an early lead, but the Warriors didn't allow the aces to shake them as they took their first lead of the set at the 6-5 mark. With neither team able to establish a lead, the set was tied 23-23, but Taylor Sorg put the set to bed with two kills to give the Warriors set 1 25-23. This time, the Warriors started the set with an ace from Noelle VanOort, which started things for the Orange and Black as they jumped to a 5-1 lead. Tech didn't slow down as they stretched their lead to 10-4 and would go on to win the set 25-18 without trailing. Neither team could establish much of a lead in the third set, but the Crusaders kept their noses in front through the early stages. Trailing 15-13, Taylor Sorg had a kill that sparked a 5-0 run, which gave the Warriors a lead they wouldn't surrender, going on to win the set 25-19 and claim the match.
 
The Warriors play for the conference tournament title and their second WHAC trophy of the season on Saturday afternoon as they play the winner of the other semifinal, Aquinas and Siena Heights, at 2:00 p.m.
