Warriors Take Down Saints for Third Straight Win

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, over the weekend for a matchup with the Saints of Aquinas College. The Warriors came into the game looking for their third straight win and picked it up as they downed the Saints 66-54. Tech moves to 4-4 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.

The Warriors scored first with a jumper from Nigel Martin but found themselves trailing quickly as the Saints answered with a 13-3 run. The Orange and Black were up to the occasion though, as they turned around with a 13-2 run of their own to take a 16-15 lead with 8:10 left to play in the first half. A three from Menalito McGee gave the Saints a six-point lead with 6 minutes left in the half, but the Warriors fought back and took a three-point lead into the half thanks to a jumper from Steve Helm as time expired. The second half was all Tech as they never relinquished the lead they took into the break and extended it to nineteen points with 5:19 left. Aquinas cut into the Warrior's lead but came up short as Tech took the win 66-54.
