FORT WAYNE, Ind. –
Eric Vermillion of the Indiana Tech men's wrestling team was named this week's WHAC Wrestler of the Week for his performance at the WHAC Tournament, where he went 3-0.
Vermillion (184 lbs.) became a three-time WHAC champion, having won previously in 2022 and 2021. The two-time NAIA champion knocked off Lourdes' William Speight 4-2 in the first sudden victory period for the three-peat after besting Rochester's Durelly Kline by fall in the first round and earning a 16-0 tech fall over Jerrod Mullins, also of Rochester, in the semis. In addition to this week's WHAC honor, Vermillion was named the WHAC Wrestler of the Year.
