Tech Takes All Four Over Saint Ambrose

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team traveled to Bloomington, Indiana, to host the Saint Ambrose Fighting Bees in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday. The Warriors added four more wins to their early season record moving to 6-1. Saturday Tech picked up two wins with scores of 12-8 and 7-3. On Sunday, Tech picked up where they left off with 7-2 and 4-2 wins.
 
Jacob Daftari highlighted the offense for Tech Saturday. In his four plate appearances in game one, he had a single and two 2-run home runs, scoring three runs himself and hitting in four. Christian Mojica went yard once and had three RBIs. Zach Zaborowski got the win on the mound in game one throwing 5 2/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out nine. Brice Stultz had the hot bat in game two, going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Coley Stevens got the win on the bump throwing six innings with allowing three hits and zero runs with five strikeouts.
 
On Sunday, Tech picked up another two wins, with Daftari leading the way again in game one going 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Tyler Stahl went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, and Ryan Troxel claimed the win going 6 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs with 4 strikeouts. In game four of the series, Tech scored all 4 of their runs in the 5th, giving them a 2-run lead, which the Fighting Bees couldn't come back from. Daftari and Stahl both went 2 for 3 at the plate while Mojica went 1 for 3, driving in 2 of the Warriors' runs. Luke Myers threw 5 innings in the win allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out a pair.
 
The Warriors set out for Tennessee this weekend, where they will play Bryan College (Tenn.) in a single nine-inning game on Saturday, followed by a doubleheader with Fisher College (Mass.) on Sunday.
