SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Indiana Tech women's wrestling team remained unbeaten in the all-time series against Lourdes, dating back to February 2021, with a 33-9 road win Friday afternoon. The Warriors advanced to 4-0 in its short history against the Gray Wolves and improved to 24-6 on the season.
The Orange & Black took advantage of three forfeit wins, but ultimately won four of six live bouts to outmatch its hosts. The forfeit results occurred at 101, 143, and 191, while a double-forfeit neutralized the points at 116.
Lourdes' Stefana Jelacic, ranked eighth in the NAIA at 109, pulled off a mild upset by virtue of a 10-2 decision over NAIA No. 3
Tehani Soares.
Aubree Kuhns made up those points and then some with a four-point tech fall over Maria Hoffman at 123, which preceded another tech Warrior fall win at 130, this one from 16th-ranked Charmayne Delong over Brielle Newland.Â
Allyssa Pirro continued Tech's dominance of the middle classes with a pin at 0:41 over Megan Litomisky, which pushed its lead to 18-3 after six weights. The 143 forfeit extended the visitors' advantage to 23-3, just before the Gray Wolves put some pressure back on Tech with a win via fall at 155. LU's Payton Curley earned that win over
Erin Riggle at 2:57.
Riley Winters closed the dual out on the right foot with a 10-0 tech fall victory against Bailey Hackett at 170, coupled with the forfeit points at 191, to get Tech to the final 33-9 margin.

The Warriors get back on the mat in another road dual on Friday, Feb. 10, at Campbellsville University (Ky.). The Warriors and Tigers have split two duals already this season, with Tech winning 28-21 at the Patriot Duals Dec. 11, and CU claiming the rematch 30-14 at the NWCA National Duals tournament in Louisville Jan. 6.
