Box Score 2 ADRIAN, Mich., and FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Indiana Tech women's ice hockey team swept a weekend series with ACHA No. 2 Adrian College, winning 3-1 on the road Friday night and 3-1 at Parkview SportONE Icehouse Saturday. The wins improve the Warriors to 24-4-0 on the season and 18-2 against Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association members.
The Warriors got goals from
Genessie Williams,
Sterling Nesbitt, and
Dakota Bowler on Friday to support
Mackenzie Addley's 27-save night in the Tech goal.
Lauren Younker and Episcopo set up Williams for the opener on the power play,
Arina Jusczak assisted Nesbitt's third-period game-winner, while
Megan Yakiwchuk provided the helper on the crucial insurance tally from Bowler with just under 10 minutes remaining.
In the return leg, Tech's goals game from
Allison Greene, unassisted, at 9:48 in the second, Williams, from Greene and
Michelle Borland at 3:43 in the third, and Yakiwchuk from Brooklyn Moore at 16:39 in the third. Addley again staffed the Tech net, making 48 total stops in the win.
The Warriors close out the regular-season at No. 9 Maryville University (Mo.) Feb. 18-19 at the Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Mo.
