GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 13 ranked Indiana Tech men's volleyball team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday for game one of their two-game stop in Grand Rapids to take on Cornerstone University. The Warriors topped the Golden Eagles in four sets, winning 3-1 with scores of 25-23, 25-13, 22-25, and 25-23. Tech moves to 12-7 on the season and 11-1 in the conference.
Daynte Stewart led the Warriors with 12 kills, 1 ace, 2 assists, and 10 digs.
Mason Milan also contributed 10 kills and 1 ace, while
Raekwon Rogers had 6 kills and 5 blocks.
Logan Gamero and
Brandon Jones were instrumental in blocking the Golden Eagles, with 7 and 5 blocks, respectively. Jones also contributed 28 assists.
Joey Hermes led the team in digs with 16, while
Mario Capo had 1 ace, 2 assists, and 8 digs.
Tech continues their road stretch in Grand Rapids on Saturday as they take on Aquinas College with first serve set for 3 PM. Tech looks to get revenge as the Saints handed Tech their only conference loss of the season in 2-3 fashion in their first meeting.
