JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Indiana Tech women's wrestling team traveled to Jamestown, North Dakota, for the inaugural NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship. Tech finished 17
th, scoring 32.5 points, with Southern Oregon University winning the Red Banner with 160 points.
Tehani Soares highlighted the event for the Orange and Black, being the lone Warriors to garner All-American honors as she finished 5
th in the 109 lbs. weight class. Soares' 5
th place finish marks her as the first women's wrestler to become a three-time All-American. Soares went 4-2 at the event, solidifying her All-American finish with a pin in the 5th-place match.
