Men’s Volleyball Hold on to Take Two from Mount Vernon

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team hosted Mount Vernon Nazarene University for two games this weekend, with game one taking place Friday and game two on Saturday. The Warriors dominated game one, winning 3-0 over the Cougars. Saturday's match proved to be more of a challenge. Going to five sets, Tech went on a run as they trailed 14-11 in the final set, coming back to close it out 17-15 and get the 3-2 win. Tech Improves to 11-7 on the season and 10-1 in WHAC play.
 
Daynte Stewart was a key player for Tech in both games; he recorded 11 kills in game 1, and an impressive 22 kills in game 2. His strong performance helped lead the Warriors past the Cougars. Logan Gamero had a standout performance in game 1, leading the team in blocks with 9. Raekwon Rogers stepped up in game 2 with 7 blocks. Nolan Bosley was an important contributor in both games, with 21 assists in game 1 and a team-high of 52 assists in game 2. His skill in setting up his teammates for kills helped Indiana Tech stay on top. Joey Hermes was consistent in both games, leading the team in digs with 8 in game 1 and an impressive 21 digs in game 2. His strong defensive play helped Indiana Tech maintain its lead and secure the victories.
 
The Warriors start a four-game road stretch as they travel to Cornerstone University for their first stop on March 10. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
