FORT WAYNE, Ind. – As the Warriors hosted the second round of the NAIA National Tournament, Indiana Tech took down Evangel University 71-66 in the Schaefer Center on Wednesday night to advance to the final site of the NAIA National Tournament and keep the National Championship dream alive.

Cory McKinney conducted the Warriors on their way to victory and guaranteed a spot for the team in the Round of 16 in Kansas City, Mo, at the 85
th annual NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship next week.
Davison scored 23 points, shooting 75% from the field, grabbed 7 rebounds, and got 2 steals. Kline scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while McKinney added 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Together, the trio was responsible for 52 of the 71 points scored by Indiana Tech in the game.
The Warriors started the game behind and saw Josh Pritchett scoring 14 of his 21 points in the first half to lead Evangel to a 36-33 lead at halftime.
After shooting 43% from the field in the first half, the Warriors increased the field goal efficiency to 62% to come back and open a 9-point lead with 1:47 left on the clock. Evangel cut the difference to 3 points, Evangel's guard Manrique Alvarado had the ball in his hands with a chance to tie the game with 11 seconds left on the clock, but he missed the 3-point shot.
With the win, Indiana Tech now focuses on preparing for the next challenge: Jamestown University (N.D.), in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship next Tuesday (March 14) at 5 p.m.
