Fort Wayne, Ind. - Indiana Tech wins over Cornerstone 4-3 in a close match on Saturday at Wildwood Racquet Club to keep fighting for the first position in the conference.
The Warriors started the duel winning the doubles point, with
Juan Avellaneda and
Michel Zobel winning 6-0 and
Phil Labbe and
Tyler Sinclair guaranteeing the doubles point for Indiana Tech after a 7-5 win.
The win was complemented by
Michel Zobel,
Juan Avellaneda, and
Jorge Rodriguez winning games 1, 4, and 6, respectively, and adding the points Indiana Tech needed to clinch the win.
With the win, the Warriors are now 3-1 in the WHAC, in second place. The next challenge for Indiana Tech is on Sunday (April 3) against Marian University in an off-conference game in Indianapolis.
