ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Warriors baseball team traveled to Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Thursday afternoon to take on the Concordia University Cardinals in a conference doubleheader. The Cardinals sit on top of the conference standings with an 18-4 record and handed the Orange and Black two defeats on their home field. Game one ended 1-12 in favor of the Cardinals, while game two had a 2-8 final. The Warriors are now 25-12 on the season and 11-9 in conference play.
In game one, the Warriors went 7 for 27 as a team at the plate.
Jayden Reed went 2 for 4 with an RBI single which scored
Parker Bates.
Carson McNulty went 2 for 3 at the plate.
Zach Zaborowski started on the mound for the Warriors, while
Nolan Schmitz and
Anthony LaRocca saw the field in relief.
Carson McNulty found another 2 hits in game 2 as he went 2 for 4.
Trevor Patterson went 1 for 2 with 1 run scored.
Lucas Pleterski went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.
Coley Stevens started game 2 for the Orange and Black throwing 2.1 innings.
Jesse Burch came in to throw 3.2, and
Jared Gallagher finished the game throwing 2 innings.
Tech hosts Rochester University for a four-game series Saturday and Sunday as their final home series of the season. Both Saturday and Sunday's first games are set to start at 1:00 PM.
