Lima, Ohio – Indiana Tech is out of the WHAC Tournament in the semifinal after losing a tight game to (RV) Cornerstone University by 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon. After beating Concordia University by 4-0 in the morning, the Warriors finished the WHAC season one point away from reaching the Tournament Final.
After a convincing win in the morning, the afternoon did not start well for the Warriors. Cornerstone University started scoring the first point after winning 2 of 3 doubles matches.
The Warriors knew that a comeback in the singles matches was necessary to advance to the finals, and
Kayra Kargin,
Michel Zobel, and
Juan Avellaneda did their part to put this comeback plan into practice, winning games 1, 2, and 3, respectively.
Unfortunately, for the Warriors, these wins were not enough since Cornerstone would also win three of the singles matches and guarantee their ticket to the final with a 4-3 result in the overall score.
In a day that Indiana Tech players lived the two sides of the coin: feeling the sweetness of victory in the morning and the bitter taste of loss in the afternoon, Indiana Tech WHAC season comes to an end with a defeat to Cornerstone University in the WHAC Tournament semifinal.
