Indiana Tech 2023-24 Schedule Release Series: Volume XIV – Esports

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech esports team has released their fall schedule for the 2023-24 season, which will showcase the Warriors playing their Rocket League portion of the season.

Head Coach Jake Middleton enters his second year leading the Warriors, with his first true recruiting class as he gets the team poised for a big year ahead. Last season the team would end with an overall record of 10-20 with 16 of those losses coming last fall during their Rocket League portion of the season after going 0-16. The Warriors were much better in the Overwatch and League of Legends part of the season during the spring, going 10-4 over that span. With a new and improved roster, the Warriors are looking to flip the script from last year's disappointing Rocket League season. In 2022-23, Indiana Tech had four players named to the All-WHAC teams; one for Rocket League, two for Overwatch, and one for League of Legends, while six student athletes earned WHAC All-Academic Team selections.

The Warriors will start the 2023-24 season with Rocket League action throughout the fall. On September 5th the Warriors opened their campaign with a 3-0 win over Lawrence Tech, followed by a 3-0 win over Concordia University to move the Warriors to 2-0 on the season. The Orange & Black would then drop the next two games as they sit at 2-2, with upcoming games against Aquinas, Lourdes, and Cornerstone. Tech will face off with Rochester on October 3rd, finishing the first time through each WHAC opponent. The Warriors will then face each team a second time throughout October, wrapping up the season on November 2nd, before participating in the Rocket League conference tournament.
