Warriors Fall to No. 1 Ranked Bethel on the Road

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team traveled to Mishawaka, Indiana, on Wednesday for an early season non-conference test against the No. 1 ranked team in the country, Bethel University, where Tech fell 4-1.

The Warriors put together a solid first 45 with a share of possession and three shot attempts while not conceding in open play. However, the Pilots did take advantage of a set piece as they found the net in the 30th minute off a corner kick. In the second half, the reigning national champions netted three more goals to secure the win over the Warriors. The highlight for the Warriors was sophomore forward Douglas Appiah Kubi finding the net to draw one back off an assist from David Ambaek at the 77:07 mark for his first goal of the season.

The Warriors move to 0-2-1 on the season and continue their campaign against another Crossroads League opponent in the No. 15 ranked Grace College Lancers on Saturday, September 7. Tech will travel to Winona Lake, Indiana, for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off at 1st Source Bank Field.
